Baby Talk Is So Cute

My week in Brescia was really nice. I got to have a new experience helping out in the snack bar, I learned a lot and I got to hang out with Betty again. I can't believe that they've already been married for 4 years! ...So last time we got to hang out was like 3 years ago. Wow.
They're such a funny couple. She's a 32 year old big woman with dark hair and dark eyes and is very outgoing and happy and doesn't really care about order. He's a 42 year old short and skinny guy with blond hair and light eyes, is kind of negative and, well, he cares a lot about order. But they're both funny people =)
It's so funny though how, in Italy, since there aren't many blonds around, if two blond people are seen together everyone thinks that they're related. In fact, all of Betty and Franco's customers thought that I was their daughter or someone from Franco's family. Betty told me that someone even asked her if they had adopted me! hahaha (See, since everyone thinks that I'm a 12/15 year old, I guess no one thought that I was there to work or help out and that I must've been someone from their family....or something like that haha).
And then every time I was with their daughter (who's 17 months old) people thought I was her sister cuz she's blond with blue eyes. These two Arab guys even thought that she was MY daughter! But every time I tell that to someone they say that it could be possible.....I don't like that haha
Here's a pic of Beatrice falling asleep in the snack bar (she's usually either crying or running out in the parking lot to sneak under parked cars and get stuck there). She has such beautiful blue eyes!
But anyways...Triplet and Reform the Resistance are getting here tomorrow! When thinking about all the stuff I'll have to do as tour manager, I kind of get a little nervous, but I'm pretty sure that everything we'll be fine. And plus, I got my bros and sis with me, so no worries =)
Please pray for us though! Pray that none of us will get sick and that, by the end of the tour, João and I will both still be alive and sane haha (João's gonna be the driver and he's also gonna help me out with stuff. However, we can both get pretty stressed out)

I'm loving the S.O.S. Live Earth videos that MTV has been showing! Heres a really cute one

And here's a funny one

Isn't that weird? My mom was considering answering him to tell him how his grammar sucks haha
Anyways, the computer's still not working, so I've just been using my mom's or my dad's laptops whenever they're not using them.
Tomorrow I'm going to Brescia, which is a city about an hour away from here, to help these friends of mine with their snack bar. I'll be coming back Friday and then on Monday Triplet arrive and on Tuesday Reform the Resistance arrive! Wow so soon!

Computers And Mosquitoes Are Against Me

Ok, I don't know why so many things and insects are against me...I mean, come on! I'm a nice person! At least I think I am...haha. But THEY ARE against me. I'm not paranoid.
People who know me will really laugh reading this post because they know that this is just typical me haha

So yeah, last night the family computer (which is mostly used by me since my laptop crashed a year ago and I had to finish my schooling which I did on the internet) was having problems AGAIN so I restarted it. Unfortunately, this weird message came up and it kept coming up everytime I restarted it. So I just turned it off and went to do what I was supposed to be doing, which was to start taking stuff off of my room's walls and look through my stuff to see what I really want to keep. I kept hoping that the whole computer thing was just an act of God telling me to do what I had told my mother I would do some days ago instead of staying on the computer and that it wasn't actually a serious problem. However, this morning it still didn't work so my dad's working on it. I REALLY hope that I didn't lose everything on there.

So yeah, I took a bunch of stuff off my room's walls and cleaned the air purifier and put it away. I honestly don't think that that machine really works since I'm always having asthma anyway....but anyways, now it's really weird seeing walls in my room completely white with no photos on them! It's gonna be even weirder when the whole room will be empty.
It was kind of a sad moment taking off all those photos. Not because of the actual act or because now the wall is completely white with nothing on it, but because seeing all those pictures of me and my friends and of great times years ago reminded me of the fact that I've lost almost all my dearest friends...but I guess that makes it easier to leave. Sad but true.

Then, at 2 AM I decided to go to bed. I think it's so funny and sweet how every night, when I start getting ready for bed, my dog Maya starts thumping her tail on my bed and watches me while I get ready. Some times both Maya and Tummy (my sister's cat) are on my bed sleeping and Maya will then jump up and start waging her tail like crazy because she knows that I'm about to come to bed and her tail will start smacking the cat. Then the cat will start trying to attack Maya's tail haha.
So anyways, I went to bed and probably fell asleep around 2:30. At 4 AM I was then awoken by that really annoying buzzing sound mosquitoes make. The thing wouldn't stop buzzing in my ear so I closed my window (so that other mosquitoes wouldn't come in) and turned on the light and then just sat there on my bed looking for the stupid buzzing pest. If anyone would have seen me, they would have probably thought that I was going crazy cuz I was frantically looking all around me and when I'd finally see the insect, even for just a second, I'd start clapping the air like crazy to try and kill it. Needless to say, my efforts were unsuccessful and the little winged creature was still flying and buzzing about my room, obviously having a great time making a fool out of me.
At one point though, I was too tired so I just laid down with my hands to the ready. Then my hands got too tired, so I just pulled the sheets over my head and laid there, trying not to suffocate.
And so, in the end, my mission failed. I never got to kill the mosquito and it kept me awake until 6 am. I guess once the sun came up, it decided to go rest somewhere.
I don't like mosquitoes.

I really really hope that that computer starts working right and that my stuff is still on there!! It sucks that I'll be able to get my laptop only after the tour :-( Oh well.

Oh yeah! Jasmin says that she's starting to feel better!!! I'm so glad. I really hope that we are all healthy for the tour =)

Please Pray for Jasmin!

Jasmin is a dear friend of mine who is like a sister to me. She's the singer of Triplet, the band from Portugal that will be on tour with me all July. She's been sick for at least a month! She had some dental problems which are now getting better since she was at the dentist, but now she also has bad throat and neck pain. They've had to cancel at least 3 gigs so far because of this and I REALLY hope that they don't have to cancel any others! Please pray with me that she will soon be better and that she will be strong and healthy during the whole tour!
Here's a pic of Jas and me during Triplet's Italian tour last winter =)

My First Post

Yay! I have finally got this blog done! I feel proud of myself :) haha

Ok, so I'm starting this blog so that those that will be supporting me financially and spiritually during my stay in the States will know what's up with me.

Man, I'm sooo excited! Many new things happening soon =)

First of all, during the whole month of July, I'll be touring around Europe with Triplet (Portugal) and Reform the Resistance (U.S.) as road manager (and sometimes also as cook, camera girl and merch girl). Now, it won't be the first time for me to go on a tour, to cook, be the camera girl, and the merch girl, but I've never been a road manager before so it's going to be interesting!! Fortunately, I have already toured with both bands (separately), but both times my dad was the one in charge. However, since he'll be busy with our festival, we've decided that I'll take his place this time. My mother's not too happy about sending me around Europe with 7 guys and only one other girl (as any mother would), but they are all like my brothers and sister so no worries hehe =)

After that, in August, we'll pack up our van and take a family trip to Portugal. So, we'll be driving from Italy, through France, then Spain and finally Portugal (with different stops along the way of course). Should be fun =)
Once we get to Portugal, my family will be busy looking at houses (they're moving there in October) and will look at schools for Alana (16 1/2 years old) and Isaac (almost 10). I'll spend some time with them, but I'm really hoping to be able to spend some time with Barbara at her community =)

And then September will finally arrive! In this month I will move to Chicago for Project 12! That will REALLY be a completely new experience for me. It will be my first time....
...away from my family for more than a month
...living in the States for a year (the most I've ever been there was 3 months four year ago)
...doing a training
...living in a community (Jesus People USA)
....living in a big city
....living in a Christian environment with Christians who are like me
And there are probably some other things I'll be doing for the first time too hehe....
Am I nervous? Well, yeah, a little...but I'm really excited about it!! (just in case you haven't noticed =P )

I know it will be weird for me to live in the States, but fortunately the community is full of international people so that makes me feel better =)
I keep thinking about all the things I'll miss about Italy...especially the food and the land! =P hehe I'm spoiled

This morning, when I woke up, I thought about the fact that in a few months I'll be living in a big city and that I won't be surrounded by beautiful nature anymore :-( It's crazy how we take SO much for granted and never realize how important things are to us until we lose them!
I'm so used to waking up to the sound of birds singing and seeing the green outside my window....and then walking into our living room to see the mountains, the sun and more green...it's so beautiful!
Here are some pics I took this morning from our living room (had to darken them to be able to see the sun)

and some of our oleanders on our balcony...

Well, I should get to bed since last night I only slept for about 4 hours and now it's 3 am.
So sorry that I made this so long!! I start writing and then I can't stop :-/
Good night everyone!
