Check out this video: schnitzel & spaghetti + Bigos Summer Tour 07
My voice in this is funny cuz I had a cold :-/
So I just spent the day packing and I'm now ready for bed haha
Tonight I'm going out for my last real Italian pizza with my family.
Tomorrow after lunch we're going to go to Milan and stay at some friends' house (they live next to the airport) and then....
Friday morning I leave for Chicago!!!
Oh, here's the silly video I was talking about in a previous post. It's me, Isaac and Alana. I messed up a bit cuz I started laughing in some parts =P

Tiger Mosquito Invasion!
I think I have a tiger mosquito nest (if they do have nests...maybe it's just a family gathering or something...or maybe even an army that has decided to declare war on me) in my living room and I think it's under my favorite couch. Everyday, when I sit at this couch, I get stupid tiger mosquitoes flying at me and biting me!!! Ugh. I've lost count of how many I've killed so far, but it's like every time I kill one, two more pop up!!! What the heck?!?!?!
If you don't know what Tiger Mosquitoes are, they're those black mosquitoes with white stripes. This little monster here:

I hate them!!! GAH!!! (Tummy, Alana's cat, is getting all freaked out cuz I keep clapping at the air trying to kill them)

What A Way To Leave
Wow I just had three wonderful days with friends that I've hardly seen or heard from this year! Why is it that we had to wait for me to leave Italy to finally have fun together??? Ugh. Oh well.
Saturday night, I went out with a group of friends to a town about a half an our away from here to hang out at a metal pub (where they usually hang out, but where I've never been before). Between Ste and her boyfriend's very funny "fights", the guys' weird conversations, and the looks Ago kept sending me that said "what the heck are we doing in a heavy metal pub?" it was a very entraining evening! Needless to say, I laughed a lot (but then again, when don't I laugh a lot?) =)
Yesterday, Marco came over to watch two comedies with me. He then wanted to bring me out for pizza cuz I didn't feel like cooking dinner (and I actually thought he wasn't staying for dinner), but since I didn't feel like it, we ate leftovers and he made me go to the movies with him (though I didn't want to) to watch the very creative, confusing and interesting movie about Bob Dylan called "I'm Not There". We then went back to my place and had some very interesting conversations (he is a very weird guy who is both an artist and a philosopher so I guess all the conversations we have are kind of interesting).
Then, today, Marco came by again to give me a copy of a cd he's been wanting me to listen to and gave me a book of Arthur Rimbaud's poems. He gave it to me cuz Rimbaud was one of the characters in the movie we watched yesterday (and I had never heard of him) and cuz he knows that I like poetry and French (each poem has, on one side, the original writing in French and, on the other side, the Italian translation). He also gave me a drawing he made of me! Here it is....

I'm so happy =) This is a very nice way to leave....I'll miss Italy.

Too Many Books, Too Little Friends
Ok, so my first day home alone went fine. It was nice just having time for myself and relaxing. There are SO many books I've been wanting to read for so long so I'm gonna try to read as many as possible before I leave...which is only a week. And I also still need to go through stuff and finish packing...need to do that before my parents get back or my mom will kill me.
I'm also hoping to be able to say goodbye to all my friends...though it looks like I won't be able to... It's crazy how this year, my closest friends are now my Portuguese friends (whom I've only known for a year/8 months)! It's kind of sad how I've lost almost all of my Italian friends and am not really close to any of them anymore. It's even sadder that the two main reasons are cuz I'm a Christian or cuz I'm single. I guess that makes it easier to leave Italy, though. So, in a way, it's a good thing. Oh well. I'm sure I'll make a lot of better friends while at JPUSA =)
I really wanted to post the video that Isaac, Alana and I made last night which is SO funny, but I'm not being able to put it up on the internet. Ugh. I'll just have to wait till my dad gets back from Ireland on Tuesday.
P.S. By the way, I have the money to pay for my flights, but still need 3000$ towards the school expenses. If you'd like to give anything towards that let me know. My email address is crazyme89@virgilio.it

Packing Time weee
Today, as I finally started packing my stuff, I realized that I'm leaving in 9 days and that I'm not coming back for a year! Yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking, "Well duh, Whitney! Where have you been all this time??", but I HAD written that I probably would only have realized it once I was on the plane! (so I'm actually early haha)
Here's me packing and me throwing out the last pile of school work I had in my room.

It was funny - today a friend of mine came over and before he left, I remembered that I needed to give him back a book that he had let me borrow a while back. Before entering my room, I warned him that it was a complete mess, but when he walked in he couldn't believe how bad it was (and it's not like his room is the tidiest of places, so that's saying something!). My mom's not too happy that she's leaving and I still have stuff to go through and packing to finish (my family's going to Ireland with my grandparents for a week and will be coming back the day before I leave).
Oh, yeah, here's the house my family's gonna be living in (click on it to see it better)
