Interesting Tuesday

Today, Glenn V.A. gave us our morning devotional and it was good. He talked about how there is so much darkness in the world and how Jesus told us that we are the salt and the light of the world. So he encouraged us to remember that and to not complain and argue about stupid stuff 'cause doing that puts our light in a box and mixes dirt in our salt. We need to make sure that we bring more light to this world, not more darkness.
It's so simple and yet really true and hard!

All around our house are signs saying "Happy Crusty Appreciation Day!" 'cause our water is off from 9am till I think 8pm 'cause our plumbers are changing our pump. haha
(For those who don't know, "crusties" are kind of like gypsy hippies. They travel all the time (some of them train hop and some of them go from community to community) and try to waste as little as possible. So, they don't really wash themselves or their clothes, they dumpster dive most of their food, they usually just have 2 or 3 sets of clothes to wear and a lot of them have stick-and-poke tattoos (which are either self-made or made by other crusties), dreads, piercings, and wear hand made jewelry which usually have bones in them.)
So, yeah, we love crusties and we are appreciating them today while we don't have any water! hehe
I think the crusties in our house are really entertained by this =)

Yeah, imagine equating not being able to wash from 9 am to 8 pm with being a crusty... I'll bet they're entertained :o). But it's a good challenge for everyone to live without water for a day... it reminds you of how precious it is and how it shouldn't be taken for granted or wasted.

PS - I'm making risotto ai frutti di mare for dinner... wish you were here!
