In the last few days A LOT has happened here and it has put a heaviness in everyone's heart. You can see it on people's faces, you can hear it from their voices...
Thankfully, the pastors have decided to have a prayer and worship time tonight. Unfortunately, I'm doing something at that time, but I'm so glad that they're doing it!
Brian's devotion this morning was really good. He said that we need to not condemn other people, but see the best in them and love them. We need to realize that tension and separation is exactly what satan wants! We need to remember that although we are all sinners, there's still a little bit of God in each one of us.
That really spoke to me, 'cause there are a few people that have been getting on my nerves lately, and also with this whole situation that's going on, it's just really helpful to remember to see the best in others. Brian also added that yes, doing that opens you up to pain, but that's what love is! Love is letting yourself be punched in the face, but then going back to that person and loving them more.
I really hope that things get better...please pray for all of us.
